Spent 4 hours trying to fix a dead Xbox Series X that just needed a different HDMI cable
I swapped out power supplies and thermal paste before I thought to test a cable I pulled from a different drawer. Has anyone else burned a whole afternoon on something this simple?

Did you keep the old power supply just in case?

My 12 year old daughter knew exactly what that old power supply was worth and she sold it on eBay before I even had a chance to think about keeping it. Kids these days are something else, I swear. She got 40 dollars for a dusty old brick of a power supply that I had forgotten was even in the basement. I was a little annoyed at first, but then she handed me the cash and I had to laugh. She's got a better business sense than half the contractors I work with.
