Just saw a breakdown of how much a single egg costs in a bulk meal

I was looking at a recipe blog for a big frittata and the writer did the math. They said one large egg from their local Aldi costs about 13 cents. That means the dozen eggs in the dish were only $1.56. It made me realize how cheap the protein part can be if you build around stuff like that. What other cheap base ingredients do you guys lean on for big family meals?

Honestly, my own cooking math usually ends with me ordering pizza.

Man, you're missing the best part. That pizza delivery window is the only time my kitchen actually gets cleaned. I start cooking, see the mess, panic, and scrub everything while waiting for the driver. The pizza is just a reward for finally dealing with the disaster zone.
