Booked a $9 flight to Miami but spent $60 on snacks at the airport because I skipped breakfast
Tried to save money by not eating before my 6am flight and ended up blowing my whole food budget for the trip on one sad overpriced sandwich and a bag of chips before we even took off, anyone else fall for that false economy trap?

Maybe it's just me but I started bringing my own snacks in my carry-on. A couple granola bars and a bag of trail mix from the grocery store costs like $4. I also fill up my water bottle after security so I don't have to buy a $6 bottle of water. That $60 airport sandwich hits different when you see it's basically the same thing you could've packed for a fraction of the cost.
