Misjudging the timing for booking a budget flight to Mexico last fall
I spent nearly 6 hours jumping between Google Flights, Skyscanner, and airline sites trying to book a round trip from Denver to Cancun for under $250. The problem was that every time I found a good price, it expired after 15 minutes. By the time I entered my info, the fare was gone. Has anyone else had luck with a specific strategy for locking in cheap international fares before they vanish?

Oh man, I feel your pain. That's the worst when you think you've finally found a decent fare and it slips away while you're typing in your name. I've started keeping all my payment info autofilled and basically practicing the clicks before I even search, which helps a little but still isn't foolproof.

Denver to Cancun for $250 is unrealistic during peak fall travel. @wyattmitchell autofill helps but that doesn't stop airlines from pulling fares within minutes. I only book when I have a clear 30 minute window and zero distractions.
