My cheap travel pillow popped on the flight to Denver last Tuesday

I was on a red eye trying to save cash, so I grabbed a $8 inflatable pillow from a discount store. Halfway through the flight, it just burst with a loud pop and scared everyone around me. I had to stuff my jacket under my head for the rest of the trip and my neck was killing me. It happened right after we hit some rough air, maybe the pressure change did it. Has anyone found a decent neck pillow that actually lasts more than one trip without costing a fortune?

Oh no, that sounds like a total nightmare! I had a cheap one leak slowly once and woke up with my face on the tray table. I finally broke down and got a memory foam one on sale, it was like twenty bucks and has survived three years of being shoved in my bag.

That "loud pop" is the sound of every cheap thing I've ever bought giving up at the worst possible time.
