That time my hostel lock broke at 3am in Barcelona
Was staying at a 12 euro a night place in the Gothic quarter and my locker lock just jammed shut with my passport and credit cards inside. Front desk guy was asleep and I didn't want to wake the whole dorm. Ended up using a bobby pin and a paperclip to pick the cheap lock open after watching a youtube video on my phone. Took maybe 20 minutes but I got it. Anyone else ever had to MacGyver their way out of a hostel problem?

Nah that's on you for trusting a cheap lock in a 12 euro hostel lol. If you're gonna cheap out that hard, at least keep your valuables on you.

I'll admit I've done the same thing with a cheap lock and a duffel bag in Prague. Ended up sleeping with my passport under my pillow and my wallet in my shoe. Real cushy travel setup.
