Last Tuesday was the cheapest day I've tracked all year
I logged every purchase for the whole day and came out to $14.62 total. That included a bus pass swipe, a can of beans, and a roll of tape from the dollar store. I ate leftovers from Sunday's roast and skipped the coffee run because I brewed at home. It wasn't a planned challenge or a no-spend day, it just lined up that way. My usual daily average is closer to $45, so this felt like a fluke. Has anyone else had a day that low by accident, or does it take real effort for you too?

Quit pretending that was a lucky accident. You tracked one day and hit $14.62 because you planned it, even if you won't admit it. Leftovers from Sunday's roast? That means you bought that roast earlier and spread the cost out. The bus pass swipe was already paid for last month, so that's not the same as spending fresh cash today. Dollar store tape and a can of beans is hardly a normal breakfast, lunch, and dinner, so you clearly made conscious choices to skip real meals. Anyone can hit a low number for a single day if they ignore the actual cost of the week around it. That ain't a fluke, that's just playing with the math.
