Shoutout to the library down on Oak Street for helping me cut my book budget to zero

I used to spend $40 a month on new releases at Barnes and Noble until I walked into the downtown library last Saturday and found all my favorite thrillers on the shelf for free, has anyone else rediscovered their library card as a budgeting tool?

My library card actually saved me from buying a cookbook that had ONE good recipe in it, so now I always flip through them there first before I even think about purchasing.

That "one good recipe" trap is why I started treating cookbooks like magazines now. @adam_butler38, how many times have you checked out the same book from the library more than once before deciding if it's worth buying? I figure if I can't remember the recipe after two renewals, it probably wasn't that good anyway.
