All that time I lost on over-the-top bullet journal layouts

When I first started bullet journaling, I thought every spread needed to be PERFECT. I wasted so much time on fancy lettering and colors. It got to the point where I avoided using my journal because it felt like a chore. Now, I look back and laugh at how complicated I made it. These days, a simple pen and some quick notes are all I need to stay on track.

Honestly wonder what finally made you switch to the simple system. Did you just get fed up one day and toss the markers, or was it a slower shift where you noticed the plain pages worked better?

@linda2 I didn't have a big switch or anything. The markers and stuff were fun but they slowed me down. Now with plain pages, I just get to work without overthinking it, lmao.

Was there one big thing you kept putting off because setting up the weekly spread took forever? Like, I remember skipping making a dentist appointment for weeks because my "health tracker" page needed perfect watercolor washes. The fancy stuff totally blocked basic life admin.
