Bullet journal trackers vs. plain to-do lists: which actually works better?
I was at a stationary store in Portland last weekend and noticed how many bullet journal specific stickers and layouts they had for habit tracking. It got me thinking about my own setup. I've been using a simple weekly to-do list for 8 months now, but I see everyone online swearing by color coded monthly trackers with dots and lines. Does the extra time spent decorating and filling in those little boxes actually help you stick with habits, or is it just busy work? My friend says the ritual of filling in the tracker keeps her accountable, but I find it adds pressure and I give up after 3 weeks. What's your experience with habit trackers in your journal, do they work or are you back to plain lists too?

Adds pressure and I give up after 3 weeks" - that's exactly me, so I keep it simple with a basic list.

Man, that list grows so fast it's like a monster. I've trashed three in the last year alone. @black.jordan how do you even tell the difference between a task you have to do and just a random idea that pops into your head?
