My daily log finally clicked after 40 days of trying
I started bullet journaling back in September and kept dropping it because my daily log felt like a chore, until I bought a cheap pocket notebook and switched to rapid logging only, no collections at all. Last Tuesday I realized I'd filled 30 pages without skipping a single day, and my spread is just date lines, bullets, and a tiny habit box in the corner. Has anyone else found that simplifying to the bare minimum is what made it stick for them?
Rapid logging is actually part of the bullet journal system, not separate from it. Ryder Carroll built it as the core method, the collections are just extras you add if you need them. So what you're doing isn't really "no bu-journaling", it's just bujo without the parts most people don't need. I did the same thing about a year in, dropped all my trackers and future logs, just kept the daily stuff and a monthly page. Stuck way better after that. Simple beats fancy almost every time.
