Spent $40 on a nice dotted journal and it already fell apart

I bought this Leuchtturm-style notebook from a small Etsy shop about 3 weeks ago. The cover looked great online and the paper felt thick enough. But after just 2 weeks of daily journaling, the binding started separating and pages are falling out. Has anyone else had luck with cheaper notebooks that actually hold up to regular use?

$40 for a journal that fell apart after two weeks is just awful.

@sethtorres you're not wrong, I've had the exact same thing happen with a couple of expensive notebooks. The binding on those glued spines is always the first thing to go, especially if you carry it in a bag. Next time look for one with stitched binding or a flexible cover, it holds up way better for everyday use.
