Unpopular opinion: My bullet journal got way better after I stopped tracking my mood
I was at a coffee shop in Denver last month and my friend saw my weekly spread with the mood tracker. She said, 'Why do you even fill that in?' and I realized I was just drawing sad faces for no real reason. Has anyone else dropped a classic bujo habit and found it actually helped?

My buddy Mark in Austin had a whole page for tracking his water intake. Eight glasses a day, little check boxes. He said it just made him feel guilty when he missed one. He ripped the page out and said his journal finally felt useful again. He only keeps his spending log now. Says that's the only tracker that actually helps him.

Trackers often just become guilt lists.

Mood trackers always felt like homework to me. I dropped mine last year and it freed up so much mental space. What other trackers did you try and then quit? I gave up on habit trackers too because seeing all those empty boxes just made me feel bad.
