Lost a $3k client because our invoicing system glitched
Last Tuesday morning, I got a call from a commercial client I'd had for 18 months. They said we overcharged them by $700 on the last job. I checked our records and saw the invoice doubled the material costs by mistake. Our cloud accounting software had a syncing error between my estimator's tablet and the main office. By the time I figured it out and apologized, they already signed with another contractor. I spent the whole weekend moving our team over to QuickBooks desktop instead. Has anyone else dealt with a software glitch costing you a real account?

One bad update can wipe out years of work, @richardk26. It's brutal how fragile these relationships actually are. They don't give you a chance to fix things once trust is broken.
