Our little online shop just hit 100 orders in a single week...
We started this thing in my garage in Boise just over a year ago, and I honestly thought hitting 50 orders a week was our ceiling. It matters because we can finally justify hiring our first part-time packer, which was a huge mental block for scaling up. Has anyone else found that first real hire was the scariest but best step forward?

That "first real hire was the scariest" part is so true. I remember putting off hiring someone for my business for way too long because it felt like such a big commitment. Once I finally did it, it freed me up to actually work on growing the thing instead of just doing all the daily tasks. It was the best move I made.

But what if the real fear isn't about the money or commitment, but about giving up control? You get so used to doing every little thing your own way. Letting someone else touch the work feels like handing over your baby. Isn't that the actual scary part, trusting someone else to care as much as you do? Once you push past that, you see they bring their own good ideas to the table. It stops being your thing alone and starts becoming a real business.
