That consultant from Dallas gave me advice that lost me $3,000 in three weeks
A guy named Mark with a fancy title told me to pivot my small bakery to focus on corporate catering instead of walk-in customers. I followed his plan exactly, dumped $1,200 into new packaging and flyers, and got exactly two orders in 21 days. Meanwhile, my regulars got mad that I stopped stocking their favorite scones and now I am rebuilding trust. Has anyone else had a high paid consultant steer you totally wrong with generic advice?

Used to be all about trusting those big name consultants, thinking they had some magic formula I was missing. But after watching a buddy burn through his savings on similar advice that was totally cookie cutter for his local shop, I get why generic plans are a trap. It's easy to see now that no one knows your customers and their daily habits better than you do.

Your buddy's shop might not be a good example though.
