Warning: my spreadsheet-heavy approach to client follow-ups was killing my small firm in Austin
I used to track every lead in a giant Google Sheet with color codes and 14 tabs. Last quarter I finally tried a simple CRM, just the free tier, and my close rate jumped from 18% to 31% in about 6 weeks. The difference was follow-up timing, the old way I'd forget people after 3 days. Has anyone else found that ditching the DIY tracking actually helped them grow faster, or am I just bad at spreadsheets lol?
