My favorite cleaver finally bit the dust mid-shift on Saturday

I've had this old Dexter cleaver for about 8 years, been through countless cows with it. Last Saturday during a rush, I went to chop through a brisket point and the blade just snapped right at the handle. I stood there holding two pieces of metal while the line cook stared at me. Had to grab my backup cheapo from the truck and finish the shift with that thing. Anyone else ever had a trusted tool break at the worst possible moment?
