Vent: that $80 bone saw I got off the auction site was a trap
Blade slipped on my third goat leg and threw bone shards across the walk-in, nearly hit my apprentice. Anyone else had luck with cheap import saws or is it all about spending real cash on a quality brand?

That blade catching and throwing shards is a classic sign the teeth are set wrong from the factory. Bought a cheap bandsaw once that walked across the floor so bad it carved a groove in the concrete before I even got a carcass near it. Spent two hours leveling it with washers and shims, ended up being decent for rabbits but I still flinch every time I fire it up. You ever try checking the tooth set with a caliper before the first use?
