My Stanley thermos survived a drop off a 40 foot ladder at a job site in Detroit last Tuesday

I was working on a roof gutter replacement near the Michigan Central Station and my grip slipped. The thermos hit concrete hard and only got a dent the size of a dime, coffee was still hot 8 hours later. Has anyone else had a flask or bottle survive something stupid like that?

I used to think spending extra on a thermos was a waste, like you're just paying for a name. But honestly that "dime sized dent" story kind of changed my mind. I had a cheap bottle from the grocery store that tipped over off my porch and it cracked right down the side. Coffee went everywhere and I was out ten bucks. If a Stanley can take a 40 foot fall and still keep your coffee hot 8 hours later, that's not just hype, that's actually impressive. Maybe I was wrong about them being overpriced.
