Why I skip the shop for most client chats

Everyone says face-to-face is key for camera repair... I get clearer info from emailed photos and a quick call.

Remember when we dragged everyone into the shop for a five minute look? Now we get that same look from a photo texted while they drink their coffee. Honestly, the old way was just a great excuse to waste everyone's gas.

Lots of fields rely on digital check-ins now, not just camera shops. My doctor handles prescription renewals through a portal with photos of my vitals. Even local contractors give quotes based on video tours instead of in-person visits. It saves hours for both sides when the problem is clear from the start.
