Saw a guy get ripped apart on Reddit for a joke about his own job, hard to say if it was fair
I was scrolling r/construction last Tuesday night and saw a post where a framer made a joke about how his crew cuts corners on cheap jobs, and within 2 hours he had 400 comments calling him a hack who should lose his license. His comment history showed he was joking and had actually walked off a job over bad framing a year before, but by the time he explained himself the thread was locked and someone had already sent screenshots to his boss. Was the pile-on fair because people couldn't read the tone, or does the mob deserve blame for not checking before they ruined a guy's week?
