Shoutout to the guy who said my old tweets would come back to haunt me

Back in 2019 I posted some dumb joke about a celebrity on Twitter. Totally forgot about it. Then last month someone screen grabbed it and it started getting shared around. I lost 200 followers and had to private my account for a week. It was just a dumb joke but people took it real serious. Has anyone else had old stuff come up years later?

A friend's band got cancelled for a tweet about pineapple on pizza from 2014. Wild times.

Man, I had a buddy back in 2018 whose band lost a whole tour over a tweet from 2012 where he said he didn't like the Beatles. Someone dug it up right before their big show in Liverpool. The venue owner saw it, got SUPER pissed, and canceled their gig that same week. They had to refund like 200 tickets and barely made rent for two months. It was just some dumb opinion from high school, but it cost them everything.
