Vent: Found out our so-called "mentor program" is actually just managers padding their own resumes
I was digging through the HR files late last week and found out that 80% of the people listed as mentors in our system haven't actually met with a trainee in over 6 months, has anyone else looked at their company's fine print on stuff like this?

Call the bluff and ask if you've actually tried being a mentor.

Nah man, some people actually do the work. Don't gotta be so cynical.

Is it just me or does the whole "nobody works anymore" thing feel like a shortcut people take to avoid having actual conversations about what's broken in their own systems? @jason752 is probably onto something about mentorship being the real test, but so many folks would rather throw stones than ask a hard question.
