Fell for a $60 carpet seam roller that fell apart after 3 jobs

Bought a cheap one off Amazon thinking it'd save me money, but the wheel literally popped off while I was on a job in Denver last week. Has anyone else learned the hard way that you gotta spend real money on seam rollers?

That $60 roller was probably the same one I bought. Lasted 2 jobs before the bracket bent and the wheel started wobbling like crazy. I had to finish a basement floor in Denver with a hand roller because I couldn't trust the tool anymore. Cheaping out on tools just costs you time and frustration in the end.

Tbh I think you might be mixing up two different budget rollers there. The one I grabbed for around $60 had a plastic yoke that snapped clean off on the third job, not a bent bracket. But yeah, totally agree on the principle. I tried to save buying a cheap 18 inch roller frame and the handle literally twisted in my hand like a pretzel halfway through a garage floor. Had to borrow my neighbor's Wooster to finish. So frustrating when you're already on the clock and deep in a job. It's like the tool knows when you can't afford to stop and just gives out on purpose.
