Old timer at a meet told me my stance was killing my handling

Guy with a beat up Miata watched me roll in on my slammed Civic and said 'nice boat, can't turn though.' So I raised it 2 inches and put real tires on. Now I actually drive corners without scraping everywhere. Anyone else get called out like that?

Oh man, that's brutal but honestly kind of a favor. Sometimes you need someone to call it like they see it before you realize you've been making the same mistake for years.

Call it like they see it" - that part hit home. Had a buddy do that to me a few years back about how I was handling my business. Stung like hell for a day, then it clicked. He was right. I was spinning my wheels on jobs that weren't worth the headache. Took me another six months to actually change, though. Sometimes the hard truths stick better than the nice ones. You don't forget when someone's that blunt.
