Why do people pop hoods before the coffee line even forms at 7AM meets?

At the Maple Grove lot last Saturday, six guys were revving and flash-tune showing off before I even got my first sip, and every one of them left oil spots the size of dinner plates, so has anyone else noticed the early birds are the ones who trash the lot and make the owners ban us from good spots?

Thought I'd spot the early crew as the serious ones, but watching the oil trails changed my mind completely.
