Saw a guy with a $900 Crown Vic run 14k miles without an oil change
Stopped at a Shell station outside Tulsa last weekend and this older dude was topping off his V8 with whatever bottle was on the ground. Asked him about it and he laughed, said he bought the car for 900 bucks off a tow lot and just keeps adding oil when the light flickers. Checked the dipstick and it was pure sludge. Car has 230k on it and still drove off smooth. That got me thinking, maybe we overthink these cheap barges. Sure it'll blow up eventually, but if the whole car cost less than a set of tires on a new truck, does maintenance even matter at that point? Has anyone else just run a junker into the ground on purpose and seen how far it actually goes?
