Am I the only one who watched a guy at a Cincinnati gas station get his debit card declined on a $4 coffee?
I was standing in line at a Shell on Glenway Ave around 6am last month when the guy in front of me tried three times to pay for a coffee and a pack of gum and the card kept getting kicked back. He just walked out empty handed and I paid my $4.17 in cash without thinking twice, but it rattled me for the rest of the week. Does anyone else keep a $20 bill stashed in their car just for moments like that?
