Bought a $40 fire safe at a flea market in Tulsa to hold my cash stash, now the key sticks
Figured a cheap safe was smarter than hiding bills in a book, but the lock jams about every third time I open it and I nearly had to pry the thing. Anyone got a trick for a sticky lock on these, or should I just eat the $40 and go back to a coffee can?

Why would you go back to a coffee can when you already dropped the cash on the safe? A sticky lock on those cheap ones is usually just the key or the tumblers, so try a little graphite powder or even rub the key on a pencil tip and work it in there. Prying it open every time is how you end up with a busted safe and no cash either.
