TIL a coin laundry in Tulsa only takes quarters, my card went nowhere

Went to do laundry last Tuesday at the Wash Bowl on 11th Street and forgot they're cash only. I had a $20 but the change machine was out of order, so I walked to three gas stations before finding one that would break it. Took 47 minutes just to get quarters, and then the dryer ate two of them without starting. Anyone else have a cash-only spot that makes you jump through hoops just to use their own system?

Oh man, I feel this in my soul! I once drove 20 minutes to a laundromat that only took dollar coins, and I swear I looked like a lunatic asking every cashier if they had any "golden dollars" in the drawer. Then I got back and realized I had exactly $11 in coins but the machines only took $5 increments, so I had to buy a soda just to make change. My laundry day ended with me crying into a damp towel because I ran out of time and had to rewash everything the next morning. The worst part is my card works at the gas station down the street, but the laundry machine is older than me and somehow still runs on pure spite.
