Warning: I used a cash envelope for groceries and a separate jar for gas. The envelope saved me $80 last month.

The envelope had a strict $300 limit for food. The gas jar was just a 'use it when it's there' thing. I blew through the gas money in two weeks but stuck to the grocery budget easy. Anyone else find that having a physical limit for each category is the only way it works?
