Question about reviving sad herbs with an ice cube trick I just read about

I was ALWAYS tossing my basil and parsley after 3 days until my neighbor said she freezes leftover herbs in olive oil cubes and now I can actually use the whole bunch before it rots, anyone else try this or have a better way to keep them fresh longer?

Honestly, that ice cube trick saved my herbs too, just pat them dry first or they get watery.

Literally learned this the hard way last week. Had a whole tray of basil that looked like it went through a washing machine after I forgot to pat it down. Ended up with sad, soggy mush that was basically herb soup. Now I'm out here treating my herbs like they're gold, gently dabbing each leaf with a paper towel before freezing. Feels ridiculous but hey, at least my pasta sauce won't taste like disappointment anymore.
