Ugh why does everyone think a half empty jar of pickles lasts forever in the fridge?

Right! And people act like you're being wasteful if you toss it after a couple weeks, but that brine gets all cloudy and weird! I swear pickles have a secret expiration date the jars don't tell you about.

Omg you've totally changed my mind here. I used to think pickles lasted basically forever like hot sauce or something, but now I'm paying way more attention to how the brine looks. Like seriously, if it's getting cloudy and funky I'm not risking it, even if the jar says it's fine.
