Hot take: bringing your own bags isn't enough if you're still buying plastic-packaged stuff
I was at the grocery store yesterday in Austin and saw this person loading up their reusable totes with individually wrapped snack packs and bottled water. It hit me that we all focus on the bag part but ignore the actual packaging. I checked my own cart and realized half my purchases had plastic wrap or containers that can't be recycled. The whole climate action thing feels like we're just swapping one problem for another. I've started buying bulk bins and loose produce more, but it takes way longer to shop. How do you guys handle the packaging problem without spending all day at the store?
