Noticed a huge shift in how my clients treat me after I changed my uniform

For two years I showed up to clean houses in whatever I had on, usually old jeans and a t-shirt. People would leave me lists, hover, double check my work. Three months ago I started wearing those cheap black polo shirts with my business name on it, nothing fancy. Now clients hand me the keys and leave, and I get tipped way more often. Has anyone else seen this kind of reaction from just one small change?

And it goes way beyond just work clothes. I notice the same thing with grocery store employees or maintenance guys - the ones in a uniform get treated like professionals while the ones in street clothes get ignored or questioned. People's brains just switch off when they see that badge or polo, they automatically trust you more. It's like we're all walking around with these little status markers that we don't even realize we're using.

Used to think uniforms were just for show but now I get it completely.
