Just switched from a pour-over to a French press after 2 years

I thought the pour-over was giving me clean flavor but my morning cup was always lukewarm by the time I finished brewing. Switched to a French press last week and now my coffee stays hot through the whole process, but I'm getting more silt at the bottom than I'd like. Anyone else deal with that trade-off and find a way around it?

What grinder are you using?

Your mileage may vary, but the silt issue is usually more about your grinder than the press itself. A burr grinder with a consistent coarse setting will cut way down on that sediment.
