TIL that skipping the coffee scale was ruining my brews.
I used to guess, but now I measure every time.

Honestly, scales help a lot, but they're not the only thing that matters. If the water or grind is off, even perfect measuring won't save your coffee. You gotta get everything right, not just one part.

Come on, is coffee really this hard? I mean I get wanting a good cup but all this talk about scales and perfect grinds feels like a lot. I just scoop some grounds and use hot water from my kettle, it tastes fine to me. Maybe it's just me but sometimes I wonder if people are overthinking a morning drink.
