At a garage sale, I noticed kids don't trade single issues anymore.

They were all on their phones looking at apps. I really miss the feel of paper and the hunt for a rare cover.

Yeah the quiet garage sale bit hits hard. My trading skills were so bad I'd probably swap a first edition for a dentist appointment flyer. Drew_young10 is right though, the haggling was where you made real friends over plastic bins.

Sounds a bit dramatic for garage sales lol.

Remember how finding that one issue you needed felt like a real win. Now with apps, you just tap and buy it, which kills the whole social barter system we had. Half the fun was the negotiation itself, not just getting the book. Makes a garage sale feel pretty quiet compared to the old swap meets.
