Dropped $180 on a graded copy of Saga #1 at a con in Denver and I still can't decide if it was dumb
I paid $180 for a CGC 9.6 copy at a Denver con last spring, mostly because I'd been hunting it for 2 years and got tired of losing eBay auctions. It's now double that value, but I honestly just wanted to read it without worrying about spine ticks. Did you ever drop real money on a slab just to crack it open, or am I the only one?
Waited two years and then dropped $180 just to crack the slab and actually read the thing? That is wild to me because most people treat a 9.6 like it's made of glass and never touch it again. Honestly I get the urge though, sometimes you just want the book in your hands instead of staring at it through plastic.
