inAlmost skipped the pre-finished plywood, glad I didn't
Man, come on. A dropped clamp proves nothing about how a finish holds up over YEARS of grease and hot pans and kids banging cabinet doors. That factory finish is thin, and the second you need to touch up a scratch or sand out a run, good luck matching it. You also locked yourself into that exact color, so if the client changes their mind down the road, you're ripping out whole boxes instead of just respraying. And $120 a sheet? For a full kitchen that's real money you could've put toward a better spray gun and a few hours of practice. Sounds less like a better finish and more like you paid to skip a problem you could've solved.

inMy neighbor's $1 lentil soup made me question my whole meal prep routine
Swapped my chicken thighs for black beans twice a week. Just tossed them in the pot with some onions and spices while I did laundry. Saved enough to buy decent coffee, which is my real weakness.

inWarning: my tap-to-pay went rogue and charged the wrong card at a deli in Hoboken
...and then the terminal asked if I wanted a receipt printed in Braille, which was weird since I have working eyes. Honestly my phone has better luck picking my pocket lint than the card I actually want to use. I once tapped for a coffee and it paid with a card that expired during the Obama administration, and I just stood there nodding at the barista like that was my plan all along. The double charge thing happened to me at a bodega, and the guy behind the counter just shrugged and said "the machine gets excited sometimes." So yeah, you're not alone, but I've learned to treat tap-to-pay like a slot machine. Bring cash if you want a guaranteed outcome.
