Old floppy disk trick still saves me on stubborn firmware updates
Had a client with a 2012 POS system that wouldn't take a BIOS update from USB, no matter how I formatted the drive. Tried three different sticks, even a CD-RW, and nothing. Remembered the old DOS days and dug out a 1.44MB floppy from my parts bin, wrote the update with a USB floppy drive... worked first try. Anyone else keep legacy gear around for these weird corner cases, or am I just a hoarder with a label maker?

Wait, did you have to use a special floppy formatting trick to get the BIOS file to fit, or did it just happen to be under 1.44MB?
