Shoutout to the guy who told me to wet cure my driveway slab instead of just covering it
I did a 30x20 pad in Austin last month and let it dry out too fast, got hairline cracks everywhere. Next pour I kept it damp for 5 days straight with a soaker hose and the finish came out way smoother, anyone else swear by wet curing for flatwork?

Used a wet burlap method on a 40x30 shop floor in Phoenix last summer. Covered it with wet burlap and plastic, kept the burlap damp for 7 days. That floor is solid as a rock with zero cracks three years later. The constant moisture made a huge difference in the surface hardness too.

@the_charlie Good point but gotta call out something. That 7 day cure time with burlap and plastic is solid concrete curing. But Phoenix summer heat at 110+ degrees means you probably pulled moisture out faster than you think. Water evaporates crazy fast there. You might have needed more attention keeping it damp than you realize. Still, worked out great for you which is what matters.
