My buddy's PC build critique taught me something about cooling

So I built my first gaming rig last month and my friend came over to check it out. He looked at my fan setup and said "dude, you've got all three of those exhaust fans fighting each other." I had them all pointing out the back instead of a front-to-back airflow path. After he showed me how to flip two of them to intake, my CPU temps dropped by like 10 degrees in Cyberpunk. Has anyone else had someone point out a dumb mistake with their fan orientation that made a huge difference?

Did you check if your rear fan was actually pulling hot air out or if it was just spinning for show? I had a buddy who mounted his exhaust fan backward and his case was basically a convection oven until he swapped it.

Right? Like PC fans are just decorative spinning lights until someone actually tells you which way the air is going lmao. @shane_martinez44 I swear half the builds I see on Reddit have at least one fan fighting the rest because nobody reads the tiny arrows on the side. I love that your buddy called it a convection oven, that's exactly what my case was before my friend yelled at me to flip everything around. My GPU was cooking itself while my CPU was just swirling hot air around like a sad little blender.
