Heard a guy at the diner claim the moon landing film was shot in a desert near Vegas

Honestly, he was pointing at shadows and saying the angles were wrong for the sun's position. Ngl, it got me looking up old NASA photos for an hour. What's the strongest proof you've seen that it was real?

Used to buy into that stuff myself. The thing that shut it down was the retroreflectors they left up there. Any decent university with a strong laser can bounce a beam off them and measure the distance. Amateur astronomers have done it. You can't fake a light echo from a quarter million miles away.

My cousin works at an observatory that does those laser tests. They showed me the raw data once, just timestamps and signal strength. Seeing the exact delay for the light to come back made it feel real in a way pictures never did.

Exactly. That raw data hits different. Pictures can be doctored, but a timestamp doesn't lie. It's just cold, hard numbers. Makes the whole thing way more solid than any photo.
