inA guy at the anime shop last year gave me a warning about a certain show
It's funny you mention that... my cousin got super into a mobile game with a really rough fan base. She said the official Discord was just constant arguing about balance changes, to the point where she quit the game entirely. Sometimes the people around a thing can ruin it more than the thing itself. I try to avoid reading comments on stuff I really like now.

inI kept blowing fuses on a simple bathroom fan install last week
How do people even sleep at night after doing work like that? My buddy bought a house and found a junction box where the last owner used a gum wrapper and electrical tape for a splice. A gum wrapper. He had to redo the whole upstairs circuit because he couldn't trust any of it after that. Your circuit tracer idea is smart, that's way better than just guessing and hoping you hit the right breaker.

inShowerthought: That new rapid set mortar mix is a trap for beginners.
Actually, it's not just fast mud, that's the whole point. The setting type compounds harden by chemical reaction, not drying out. Once it starts going off in the bucket, you can't re-wet and remix it like regular joint compound. That's why the small batch advice is so critical.

inTalking to a rancher in Boise changed how I see beef grading
My uncle raises a few head in Nebraska and he says the same thing. He told me last year that a high grade doesn't mean good eating if the fat is all in one chunk. He sold a steer that was technically Choice but had better marbling than some Prime he'd seen. It made me start asking my local butcher more questions about where the fat is, not just the grade. Honestly, that chat with your rancher is spot on.

inHonestly, dry tools are the enemy of a good finish. I learned that messing up a sidewalk pour last year.
My cousin's driveway looks like @robinm79's patio now.
