I looked into the whole 'flat earth' thing after my cousin brought it up at Thanksgiving
I spent like two hours last night watching videos from both sides, and the main thing that changed my mind was seeing the actual math and photos from high-altitude weather balloons. A group called the Flat Earth Society says the horizon should always rise to eye level, but footage from a balloon launch in Nevada last year clearly shows the curve. Has anyone else dug into a specific claim like this and found a simple piece of evidence that settled it for you?

What about all the pilots? They'd have to be in on it too, right? Seems like a lot of people to keep quiet.

Yeah I actually used to think the same way... like there's no way that many people could keep a secret. But then I saw this interview with a retired airline captain who basically said the flight paths are all programmed into the computer before takeoff. The pilots just follow the route, they aren't really "navigating" over specific spots in the old way. So they might not even be looking down at the exact moment, you know? It's all automated. Changed how I saw it.

But what exactly are they supposedly hiding down there? Like, if it was something huge, wouldn't satellite images from other countries have shown it by now?
