Ditched my $600 project management software for a simple whiteboard last month. Thought my guys would hate it.

I run a small crew in Austin, about 12 guys. Kept paying for Procore and nobody used it. Foreman couldn't even log in half the time. Switched to a 4x8 whiteboard and color coded magnets. Each job site gets a column. Red magnet means delayed, green means on track. My foreman actually updates it now. Been 6 weeks and we're finishing jobs 2 days faster on average. Has anyone else found low tech solutions working better than expensive apps?

Bet the magnets also make bottlenecks way more visible to the whole team at a glance, not just one guy staring at a screen.

I used to think you were crazy for ditching Procore, but honestly seeing your numbers here makes me reconsider. My guys hate logging into apps too, and I bet a whiteboard would actually get updated more than our current system does. It's wild how a simple visual setup can beat a fancy platform when it comes to real world use.
