Heard a super on a Phoenix site say 'we can't fix stupid' after a sub put a load-bearing wall on the wrong grid line, and it made me realize our drawings are only as good as the guy holding them.

Has anyone found a good way to make sure field crews actually understand the critical layout points before they start, besides just another pre-pour meeting?

But what if the drawings are the real problem? Sometimes a bad plan is just too hard to follow, no matter who's holding it. Maybe we should fix the paper before we blame the guy.

I mean, a bad plan still needs someone to point it out though.
