The punch list from my last condo job got ignored for 3 weeks, then the owner called

I found 14 items on the final walkthrough that were my fault, but my foreman kept saying he'd fix them and never did, so the owner called me on a Saturday asking why the balcony railing still wobbled, has anyone else had to fire their own foreman over a punch list?

Foremen like that are everywhere, not just in construction. Guys who nod and say "yeah, I got it" then just hope the problem disappears. It's the same reason my neighbor's gutters still leak after three "fixes." People think admitting they can't do it is worse than just ignoring it. That Saturday call was the price of letting it slide for too long. Firing him was the right move, no question.
